In October 2018, the Youth Advocacy Task Force of the Vermont Network Against Domestic and Sexual Violence released the results of a survey of Vermont's youth. The Task Force designed and launched an informal on-line survey for Vermont youth up to age 24. The YATF's purpose in creating this survey was to better inform their advocacy and outreach by listening to Vermont youth about their concerns and ideas for solutions. 584 Vermont youth participated in the survey. 140 were from Safeline's service area! Read the Executive Summary and the full report here. One of the major findings was that youth really do want supportive, "askable" adults in their lives. The Task Force is now digging deeper to learn what characteristics youth feel makes adults "askable" and how we can help support adults in becoming "askable."
